USE methods others can imitate

Growing understanding of the language and culture enabled the team to communicate spiritual truths. They used simple teaching methods. As Paul said, “I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom….”

Jesus, when sending the 72 workers throughout Judea, told them, “Do not take a purse, or bag or extra sandals….” Stephanas took this to mean his team should also “keep it simple.” They presented the message clearly and in a way that new believers would be able to imitate. Jesus’ instructions also implied that the workers should not plan to stay any longer than necessary, so it was all the more important that the methods would be easy to pass on to others.
